STEM Saturday: Engineering a Catapult

This WORKS Museum workshop, held Saturday, April 21, from 11 a.m. to noon, lets kids practice the Engineering Design Process and use a glue gun to construct a small catapult. This is a great fit with fourth grade standards, but is appropriate for younger ages as well. The workshop will be held at the Lake Elmo Library, 3537 Lake Elmo Ave. N.

Z Juggling Rosenschnoz

The Lake Elmo Library will be hosting a juggling performance Saturday, April 14, from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. Mixing tricks with innocence, Chris Griffith charms audiences of all ages with his juggling and physical comedy. Coiled paper bowls

Coiled paper bowls are an attractive, artistic and sustainable craft that anyone can learn how to make. Learning how to roll paper just right is a skill used to make decorations, wall art, jewelry, baskets, gifts and more. This craft also reuses old papers and magazines, creating art in an affordable manner. This class will be held Saturday, April 7, from 1 to 3 p.m. at the Oakdale Library, 1010 Heron Ave. N. Please register online at WashCoLib.org, at the library or by calling 651-730-0504.
