Kiwanis of St. Anthony

Volunteers at Sheridan Story.

The St. Anthony Kiwanis chapter began in 1962 and has grown to 44 men and women. The club sponsors three youth service clubs: a K-Kids Club (45 members) at Wilshire Park Elementary School, a Builders Club (53 members) at St. Anthony Middle School, and a Key Club (31 members) at St. Anthony Village High School. We also support an Aktion Club (14 members), which offers activities for mentally and physically challenged adults.  Each of these service clubs provides members with opportunities to perform service, build character and develop skills.  Just visit any of these clubs and you will witness how students can make a difference in their school, and community.

You may have noticed Kiwanis members handing out peanuts on street corners or at businesses. Peanut Day is one of the most important fundraising days of the year. Not only do the members give away peanuts, it’s also their way of thanking the many people who contribute money to the club’s projects.

Their donations are used to support the youth clubs we sponsor,  to provide scholarships for high school seniors, and to support many other service projects.

If you would like to learn more about our club, come to a meeting.  Meetings last an hour and are held on the second, third and fourth Wednesdays of each month at the Culver’s Restaurant on Silver Lake Road.  The meetings on the second and fourth Wednesdays are at noon, and the meeting on the third Wednesday is at 7:30 a.m. Each meeting has a speaker who provides information about our community.

For more information contact Michael Kirschling at 952-500-0743, or visit the club’s website,

Thank you to the businesses and individuals who are financial supporters of our work serving the youth in our community in the 2018-19 Kiwanis year.
