Sap tap time at Harriet Alexander

Do you ever wonder where maple syrup comes from? You can find out at the Harriet Alexander Nature Center’s annual “It’s Tapping Time!” event on either Saturday, March 24 or Sunday, March 25, between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m.; drop-in when you want and stay as long as you wish. 

Volunteers will demonstrate how to tap trees, collect the sap and cook it to make delicious maple syrup. You can learn about traditional syruping methods, enjoy Native American stories, make a fun craft and taste maple treats. The event is free.
