Wildlife Drawing

Learn basic techniques like lines, proportion, shading and texture to draw Minnesota forest animals like a wolf or rabbit. This is presented by Eagan Art House. Registration is required. Open to ages 6 to 11, this is a Minnesota Legacy program sponsored by Minnesota’s Arts and Cultural Heritage Fund. Club Book presents Laura Lippman

Meet Laura Lippman, author of the Tess Monaghan series and ten bestselling standalone novels. Her latest book, “Sunburn,” is a psychological thriller that debuted last month. This event will take place from 7 to 8 p.m., at the Dakota Lodge in Thompson County Park, 1200 Stassen Lane, West St. Paul, on March 14.

 

West St. Paul neighborhood meetings

Show up to one of two times to meet with the West St. Paul mayor, city council members and city staff to learn about and provide your opinions on the state of the city, city council goals, city programs and upcoming projects. Nature After Dinner

Learn to read the stories left behind in mud and snow. On March 15, from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m., learn about the tracks and signs that animals leave behind. This program is designed for kids ages 3 to 8. All children must be accompanied by at least one adult. Pre-registration is encouraged. This will take place at Dodge Nature Center’s Farm Education Entrance 3, 1701 Charlton St., West St. Paul. Classic Movie Night

Join others for a movie night at Henry Sibley High School where you’ll be screening “The Last Time I Saw Paris”, starring Elizabeth Taylor and Van Johnson. The ticket will include one bag of popcorn, and other concessions will be for sale at the event. Preregistration is appreciated but not required. Cost is $5, and this will take place at Henry Sibley High School, 1897 Delaware Ave., Mendota Heights, on March 16 from 6:30 to 9 p.m. Call 651-403-8313 or 651-403-8300 to register.

 

Spring Bibliobop

Have fun with books and music from the library’s collection with DJ Ms. Donell from 10:30 to 11:15 a.m., on March 12 at the West St. Paul Library, 199 Wentworth Ave. E. This is open for kids ages 2 to 8.
