Celebrate Red Cross month by giving blood

Since 1943, every U.S. president has designated March as Red Cross month to recognize how the Red Cross helps people across the country and around the world. Red Cross month is a celebration of supporters, who are the face of the Red Cross in their communities and bring hope to people facing emergencies. Make an appointment to become a hero to patients in need by downloading the free Red Cross Blood Donor App, visiting redcrossblood.org or calling 1-800-733-2767.

Upcoming blood drives in the area will be held March 1 from noon to 6 p.m. at Redeeming Love Church located at 2425 White Bear Ave. in Maplewood, March 10 from 1 to 6 p.m. at Marcus Cinema located at 5677 Hadley Ave. N. in Oakdale, and March 14 from 7:45 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. at Hill Murray High School located at 2625 E. Larpenteur Ave. in Maplewood.
