Dressed in their royal costumes — capes, crowns and a snow-white gown for the Queen of the Snows — and fresh from their 10-day Winter Carnival tour, members of the 2018 Winter Carnival royal family visited the Roseville Rotary club meeting on Feb. 5 to introduce themselves and tell a little about their tour.

“It’s always fun to have the pomp and circumstance of a royal family visit,” said Julie Wearn, president of the Roseville Rotary Club. Her husband, Bill Wearn, is 2018 Prince of the East Wind. Julie said she believes this may be the royals’ first visit to the Roseville club, whose motto of “service above self” meshes well with the community activism and the giving that defines the Winter Carnival royalty.

Dan Stoltz, president and CEO of Spire Credit Union, told Rotarians how he mobilized the business community to donate money for the Ecolab Ice Place so that St. Paul would have something to show the world during the Super Bowl.
