Friends of the Ramsey County Libraries pop up a sale

The Friends of the Ramsey County Libraries is hosting a “Pop-UP” Used Book Sale Oct. 26-28 at the Ramsey County Library in Shoreview, 4560 N. Victoria St. Thousands of books, movies, talking books and CDs from all seven Ramsey County libraries, as well as private donations, will be sold. Most items sell for $1 or less. Only cash or checks will be accepted. 

Books are pre-sorted by genre in fiction, several non-fiction categories, children and young adult books to make shopping easier for book lovers. The sale begins at 10 a.m. all three days, closing at 8:30 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 26; at 4:30 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 27; and at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 28. 

Starting Oct. 1, bring your donations to the Shoreview library to be sorted and priced for this sale. Books that are in good condition, CDs, DVDs, talking books, VHS tapes and vinyl records will be accepted.

Please — no books that are moldy, mildewed, water damaged, torn, have broken spines or missing pages; no magazines, text books, encyclopedias or manuals more than 5 years old.

Proceeds from the Friends book sales and used book stores benefit Ramsey County public libraries in Maplewood, Mounds View, New Brighton, North St. Paul, Roseville, Shoreview and White Bear Lake.  For more information go to
