Knightline clothing drive

Drop off your bags of re-sellable clothing, shoes, accessories, linens and small household items Saturday, April 29, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the DAV trailer parked in the Irondale High School parking lot. Irondale’s Knightline Dance Team receives funds for every pound of donations to the DAV, which they use to buy new dance costumes. For more information call Leah at 651-472-3995. New Brighton Community Open House

The City of New Brighton will be hosting its 40th Annual Community Open House, the event formerly known as the Town Hall Meeting, on Saturday, April 29 from 8 a.m. to noon at the New Brighton Community Center, 400 10th St. NW. The annual event is an opportunity for citizens to get updated on topics that are in the news or on their minds. 


Safe driver refresher course at RosePointe

The AARP Safe Driver Program is the nation’s first and largest refresher course for drivers age 50 and older that has helped millions of drivers remain safe on today’s roads. A four hour refresher class will be offered at RosePointe Independent Living Apartments on Thursday, May 4 from 1 to 5 p.m. The cost is $15 for AARP members and $20 for non-members. Participants may register in person at 2555 Hamline Ave. N. in Roseville or by phone at 651-639-1000.  


Falcon Heights Elementary Kids Stuff Sale

The Falcon Heights Elementary Kids Stuff Sale is Saturday, April 29 from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the school. The sale will feature gently used kids clothing, toys, sporting goods, furniture and more. Half-off discounts begin at 11 a.m. The school is located at 1393 Garden Ave. in Falcon Heights. Ramsey County Fix-It Clinic in Roseville

Ramsey County’s next free Fix-It Clinic will be held at the Roseville Library on Saturday, April 29 from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Volunteer “fixers” will work with individuals to fix up to three broken items and teach valuable repair skills free of charge. Individuals can bring items, such as small household appliances, electronics and mobile devices to the clinics. The library is located at 2180 Hamline Ave. N.


Spring dance for older adults at RAHS

The Roseville Area High School Student Council is hosting a spring dance for the community’s older adults on Sunday, April 30 from 2 to 4 p.m. in the high school cafeteria. Live music will be performed by the Bob Hallquist Band. Free admission and refreshments — the school is located at 1240 County Road B2 W.


Shoreview Community Garden Club meeting

Soni Forsman from The Minnesota Water Garden Society will speak on “Container Water Gardening” at the Shoreview Community Center at 7 p.m. in the council chambers located at 4785 Victoria St. N. on Wednesday, May 3, during the Shoreview Community Garden Club meeting. Learn about herbs in Shoreview

The Lake Owasso Garden Club will learn about getting the most from your kitchen herbs from Heidi Doering, a horticulture educator from the University of Wisconsin Extension Program on Monday, May 8 from 7 to 8 p.m. at Presbyterian Church of the Way, 3382 Lexington Ave N. in Shoreview. The event is free and open to all.
