Have your work displayed at the LeDuc Estate

A unique opportunity is available for people who enjoy hand or machine embroidery, beading, wool felting, rug hooking, wood carving, painting in all genre, photography, glass blowing, or mixed media.  Dakota County Historical Society and the LeDuc Historic Estate announce a juried arts exhibition based on embroidery designs from the Hastings Needle Work Company.

The deadline for entering the competition is April 15.  Go to www.dakotahistory.org to find registration materials.  All the necessary information, guidelines, and the patterns to choose from which must be used in the competition can be found in a down-loadable “kit” available at www.dakotahistory.org.  Should you have difficulty with the download, please call Amy Deaver at 651-438-8480 at LeDuc. Entries can be sent digitally via email.  By April 22, notification to all entrants will be mailed and will indicate acceptance or rejection of pieces for display.  Artwork that is selected for display must be received at the estate by May 12. Accepted artwork will be displayed in the LeDuc house from Saturday, May 13 through month of June.  Visitors will have an opportunity to vote for their favorite piece.   Regular admission rates apply.
