Get inspired by Claude Monet

Claude Monet and the impressionists were known for using small dots or strokes of color, not blended together, to create an optical mixing of colors. This class will teach participants how to draw a still life using impressionist techniques. Prints of Impressionist works will be available for viewing and technique demonstrations performed by the instructor. Each participant will create an impressionistic work on paper, with either markers or pastels, to take home. This program is funded with money from Minnesota’s Arts and Cultural Heritage Fund. This event will be held at the Oakdale Library, 1010 Heron Ave. N., on Saturday, Feb. 25, from 2 to 3:30 p.m. Register online, at the library, or call 651-730-0504.
