Roseville girls chasing section lacrosse title

The third-seeded Roseville Area High School girls lacrosse team opened the post-season against a familiar foe and faced another team it knows in the second round.

Roseville won its Section 4 quarterfinal match against sixth-seeded Mounds View 10-5. The win was Roseville’s second over the Mustangs this season.

Roseville hosted second-seeded Hill-Murray in the semifinals on June 4, past the deadline for this edition of the Review. The Roseville/Hill-Murray winner plays for the section title on June 7 at 7 p.m. at Roseville against either top-seeded Stillwater or No. 4 Mahtomedi.

Roseville’s boys team was seeded sixth in Section 4 and opened the post-season with a road game against third-seeded White Bear Lake. The Bears ended Roseville’s season by beating the Raiders 18-1 on June 2.
