Sex trafficking awareness forum Feb. 18 at Simley

On Thursday, Feb. 18, at 7 p.m. there will be a sex trafficking awareness forum at Simley High School, 2920 80th St. E., Inver Grove Heights.

The forum topics will include:

• What is sex trafficking?

• Is my teen at risk?

• What are the warning signs?

• What can I do to help?

The FBI has identified the Twin Cities as one of the nation’s 13 largest centers for child prostitution. The guest speaker will be Sgt Grant Snyder, who is currently the lead investigator for all human sex trafficking cases for the Minneapolis Police Department. He works in close collaboration with the FBI and Homeland Security Investigations, and is a former specially deputized U.S. Marshal, as well as a former task force officer with both the FBI and ATF.
