Dakota County Library offers new service

On Jan. 1, Dakota County Library launched hoopla digital, a free Netflix like service. Thousands of patrons across Minnesota now have the ability both online and through mobile devices to access more than 400,000 movies, music, eBooks and more for free.

The program works by allowing library-card holders free 24/7 online and mobile access to thousands of entertainment content. Patrons can enjoy on-demand content from their smartphones, tables, PCs, Apple TV and Chromecast.

Hoopla Digital features content from major Hollywood studios, record companies and publishers. This includes content such as “Silver Lining Play Book,” “The Walking Dead (Vol. 1-23),” The Weeknd’s “Beauty Behind the Madness,” “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” soundtrack and more.
