Urban exploring in Lauderdale

Arrests, Thefts and more around Falcon Heights, Lauderdale, Little Canada, and Roseville - Roseville Review police reports July 21, 2015.

Falcon Heights

A 23-year-old man was arrested June 30 at Cleveland and Folwell avenues for driving after license revocation, no proof of insurance, and, in Minnesota, displaying a single license plate, which is not sufficient.

Police caught up to a woman three days after she burgled an occupied home July 13 in the 1700 block of Tatum Street. The 34-year-old was booked at the jail on the felony first-degree charge. A 38-year-old male traveling companion was jailed on an outstanding Washington County felony warrant for escaping from custody.

Love - 15

A resident in the 1700 block of Pascal Street reported a window broken by a tennis ball on July 3. No suspects.

The cracked windshield got him pulled over on Larpenteur Avenue at Hwy. 280 July 3 and the revoked license and the lack of proof of insurance will get him to court.

Attempted theft

A woman called police June 29 when she saw a strange man sitting behind the wheel of her vehicle in a Eustis Street parking lot, holding a large ring of keys. The man was gone when police arrived.

Urban explorers

It was an odd couple that was found trespassing in the Larpenteur Avenue Xcel substation July 1. In addition to possible health hazards of radiation as well as concerns of just being in an area that was off limits, the 16-year-old girl had pockets filled with off-limit items — an alcoholic beverage, cigarettes and drug paraphernalia. The teen was cited and released to parents. Her companion, a 32-year-old man, was cited for possession of drug paraphernalia.

Fireworks complaint

A resident who had set off illegal fireworks in the 1700 block of Walnut Street on the Fourth was located and advised that he would be cited if he set off any more. He said he didn’t have any more.

Happy Fourth

A 36-year-old man was arrested on the Fourth of July at Broadway Street N.E. and Hwy. 280 for speeding, pot possession, driving after license suspension, and no proof of insurance. His passenger, a 22-year-old woman, was jailed for felony possession of a fifth-degree controlled substance and a hypodermic needle.

Little Canada

A male client at a non-profit Arcade Street agency that deals with mental health and chemical issues shoved a female staffer down on the Fourth of July. The 23-year-old woman was treated for non-life threatening injuries. The client, also 23 and who has a lengthy criminal history, fled the scene on a bike but was later picked up at his Mom’s place. He was jailed on a fifth-degree assault charge.

Domestic assault

Deputies are looking for a 45-year-old man with no permanent address on charges of domestic felony assault and violation of an order for protection after he shoved and punched his 50-year-old girlfriend in the early morning hours of July 12 before fleeing the scene on a bicycle.

Drug possession

A St. Paul man caused a ruckus in a Country Drive apartment building the night of July 10 when he entered a young couple’s unit and, opening the door to another, set six to 10 teen girls to screaming and yelling. Deputies were soon on the scene and the 24-year-old suspect was jailed on felony possession of a fifth-degree controlled substance, later found to be cocaine, assault and disorderly conduct charges.
