Little Canada

Assault
A youth, upset with Mom for taking away his video game privileges March 11 because he and his brother couldn’t agree on which game to play, shoved the woman and threatened to kill, her, according to a deputy’s report. Mom, who feared for her safety because her son is five-foot-nine and weighs 220 pounds, called 911. A charge of gross misdemeanor domestic assault against the 14-year-old, already on probation for a previous domestic incident, is pending action by the county attorney’s office.

Burglary
A man moving back in with his wife, brought his stuff which had been in a County Road B storage unit and included a rifle, golf clubs and hunting and fishing gear, and left them on her porch. When they had another recent falling out, the wife showed deputies the items, which she didn’t recognize and told them they must be stolen. Running the serial number proved that the rifle, and eventually the other items, had been stolen from another locker at the storage facility. A felony burglary charge against the 33-year-old man is pending approval by the county attorney’s office.

Fraud
A tenant in the 400 block of Labore Road reported the theft of her credit and EBT (electronic benefit transfer) cards after the credit card that had been left in her unlocked apartment on a table in plain sight was used. When asked who had access to her apartment, she said “everyone in the building.” The 52-year-old woman was given several safety and security tips by deputies.
