Legally, it’s over in Lauderdale

Arrests, Thefts and more around Falcon Heights, Lauderdale, Little Canada, and Roseville - Roseville Review police reports March 17, 2015.

Falcon Heights

A 23-year-old man was pulled over and cited for an equipment violation Feb. 23 at Larpenteur and Hamline avenues, along with no proof of insurance. The particular equipment violation was not reported, but the top three are the cracked windshield, the loud muffler, and a burnt-out light. Check your vehicle’s condition and possibly save yourself a ticket.

Asking for trouble
It probably wasn’t long before the 27-year-old man, driving around March 1 with missing front and rear license plates, was pulled over. He was also cited for driving with a suspended license.

Clean sweep
A vehicle was stopped March 1 at Selling and Como avenues and everyone inside was arrested. The driver, a 22-year-old female, was charged with driving after license suspension, an 18-year-old female passenger was jailed on a Hennepin County misdemeanor warrant for theft, and the vehicle owner, a 45-year-old male, was charged with “owner allowing an illegal operation of a motor vehicle.”

Bill of goods
He was wanted on a felony warrant for his arrest, but attempted to sell police a bill of goods regarding his identity. That didn’t work, and the 28-year-old was cited for false information to police, driving after license suspension and no proof of insurance. The warrant? That was from the Dept. of Corrections for a parole violation regarding a weapons charge. That got him a ride to the Ramsey County Jail.

It’s over
At least, legally. A 58-year-old St. Paul man’s legal driving career actually came to an end awhile back. On March 1, he was arrested at Larpenteur Avenue and Hwy. 280 for failing to yield to an emergency vehicle, felony first-degree blood alcohol test refusal, first-degree DWI, gross misdemeanor driving after license cancellation and several other charges. He was booked at the Ramsey County Jail.

Unlocked vehicles
A fussy prowler rummaged through a vehicle Feb. 28 in the 1700 block of Fulham Street, but didn’t find anything he couldn’t live without.

A few driveways down on the same night, a prowler did find a wallet, leaving the 35-year-old car owner light $40 in cash and with lots of work to do regarding her stolen debit card and identification.

Little Canada

Break-in on Gilanderi
A burglar pried open the front door, tripping the alarm at a house in the 2300 block of Gilanderi Lane the afternoon of March 2, but was scared off by the noise. No one was home at the time.

Family feud
The ex-husband grabbed the 26-year-old ex-wife by the throat March 4, threw her on the bed and left the apartment with her phone, while the 28-year-old ex-brother-in-law called 911. The 43-year-old Minneapolis man was mailed a citation for fifth-degree assault, theft and disorderly conduct.

A resident on Little Circle Drive, upset with a maintenance man at the trailer park because rainwater was ponding on his property, called the 47-year-old man a wimp and punched him in the face. The 66-year-old resident was cited for fifth-degree assault and disorderly conduct.
