Roseville Little Canada Review People - 2-24-15

Scott Herbst of Lauderdale and Victoria Housewright of Roseville recently received a scholarship from the Minnesota Nursery and Landscape Association (MNLA) Foundation. Both are enrolled in the Horticulture and Landscape Design program at Hennepin Technical College.


Three teachers in the Roseville Area School District have been nominated for the 2015 Minnesota Teacher of the Year award from Education Minnesota. Laurie Schlossmacher, Patricia Stigen and Kelly Tennison are up for the statewide award. The award winner will be chosen from a field of 123 candidates.


Roseville natives Andrew Anderson, Salvatore Frattallone, Charley Libra and Ben Stasny will appear in the Minnesota State Mankato Department of Theatre & Dance’s presentation of Pedro Calderon de la Barca’s “Life Is A Dream.”


Roseville resident Sherrill Zheng, a junior at Perpich Arts High School, received a Silver Key and two honorable mentions in the 2015 Minnesota Scholastic Arts and Writing Awards.


Jacki Smith of Roseville, a volleyball player and senior at the University of Northwestern, was recently given an Upper Midwest Athletic Conference Academic All-Conference award for maintaining a grade-point average of at least 3.5 on a 4-point scale while competing on the team.
