Winter in the woods

Want to learn how to find animal tracks and signs? Want to go snowshoeing? Don't let the cold weather keep you inside — join the fun at the Winter Eco-Kids get-together on Sunday, Feb. 22, sponsored by three local United Methodist churches, including Faith UMC in St. Anthony.
The event is for children in grades 2 through 5 and their parents. Siblings in grade 6 are also welcome to participate. We'll be at the North Mississippi Regional Park from 3 to 4:45 p.m. Please gather at the Carl Kroening Center at the park, located at 4900 Mississippi Court in Minneapolis.
If there is sufficient snow, we'll go snowshoeing (snowshoes provided). We will learn how to identify animal tracks and signs of wildlife on a naturalist-led winter walk. Come dressed for the weather.
RSVP by email to smullin@faithumchurch.com or by phone at 612-781-3167.
