Bus rider robbed in Lauderdale

Falcon Heights

A 50-year-old man was stopped Jan. 16 at Cleveland and Como avenues for the usual pull-me-over alert, the cracked windshield, and cited for driving after license revocation, expired registration, failure to change address on his driver’s license and of course, the windshield.

Pants on fire
A man wanted by the Minnesota Dept. of Corrections warrant for his arrest was also charged with gross misdemeanor lying to police. The 22-year-old was arrested Jan. 12 at Snelling and Hoyt avenues. He was booked at the jail on the warrant and the GM lying charge.

Reverse theft
Three vehicles were rummaged through in an underground garage at an apartment complex in the 1500 block of Larpenteur Avenue overnight Jan. 14. There was no loss, but property, apparently left by the prowler, was found inside one vehicle.


An”uncooperative” man was stopped Jan. 17 on suspicion of DWI at Larpenteur Avenue and Carl Street but refused to submit to any testing. The 47-year-old, from Falcon Heights, was booked at the Ramsey County Jail on gross misdemeanor third-degree DWI and misdemeanor fourth-degree DWI charges. A 35-year-old female passenger was cited for possession of an open bottle in case the driver wanted another drink.

A 28-year-old man was arrested Jan. 17 at Hwy. 280 and Larpenteur Avenue for driving without a license and insurance to match.

Bus rider robbed
Just as she got off a Metro Transit bus at Larpenteur Avenue and Eustis Street about 10 p.m. Jan. 28, a female victim was robbed of her purse. The purse-snatcher, described as a white male, “possibly Hispanic,” about five-feet, five-inches tall and wearing a black sweater, black hat and blue jeans, fled the scene on foot. Anyone with information is asked to contact St. Anthony Police at 612-782-3350.
