Little Canada

Assault
The 28-year-old woman called 911 Nov. 15 and said her 38-year-old fiancee tried to force her into a car and then choked her, slapped her and dragged her through a Rice Street grocery store parking lot. The man faces a misdemeanor domestic assault charge pending the approval of the Little Canada city attorney's office.

Burglary in progress
In a neighborhood not immune to burglaries, a resident with a watchful eye saw a black Lincoln with silver wheels pull up to a residence in the 2300 block of Greenbrier Circle. Two black men, a short driver and a taller, heavier passenger, got out and kicked in a front door. The neighbor called 911 but the intruders left just minutes later with a large television and a pillowcase. Deputies arrived and found only the master bedroom had been entered. A 40-inch Samsung flat-screen TV, valued at $500, and jewelry, most likely in the pillowcase and not yet identified, gone. An investigation continues.

Mixed gender hoops
She didn't like his aggressive style. So the 17-year-old girl bounced the ball off the 14-year-old boy's head during a game in gym class Nov. 7 at Capitol View Area Learning Center. Twice. Then she slapped him silly. The girl was cited for assault and disorderly conduct.

Yikes!
A 12-year-old girl beat up a 46-year-old staff member at Capitol View the morning of Nov. 14 after she was found wandering the halls and told to get back to class. The preteen punched, scratched and pulled the staffer's hair. The pair was rolling around in the hallway before the girl was cuffed by the school resource officer and transported to the Ramsey County Juvenile Detention Center on a charge of gross-misdemeanor assault. The staff member, who was bleeding from an eye, was taken for medical treatment.
