Bet Mom’s not happy in Lauderdale

Arrests, Thefts and more around Falcon Heights, Lauderdale, Little Canada and Roseville - Roseville Review police reports Oct. 28, 2014

Falcon Heights

Arrest
The man pulled over for erratic driving Oct. 6 at Larpenteur and Snelling avenues didn’t want to submit to a breath test; didn’t even want to identify himself. After a fingerprint check at the jail, the authorities knew why: the 29-year-old Richfield resident has a cancelled driver’s license and three DWI convictions. He stayed at the jail on charges of felony first-degree DWI, felony refusal to submit to a breath test, gross misdemeanor driving after license cancellation, obstruction of the legal process and no proof of insurance.

Burglary
A woman returning home in the 1300 block of Larpenteur Avenue Oct. 8 found an entry door forced open and $75 in cash gone missing.

Lauderdale

Bet Mom’s not happy
Checking on a report of a boy with fireworks at an apartment complex in the 1600 block of Pleasant Street Oct. 12, officers also checked the area for car break-ins, based on "previous contacts" with the juvenile suspect. Police did find two vehicles that had been broken into and found the teen in possession of fireworks as well as alcohol and tobacco. The 17-year-old was petitioned into Ramsey County Juvenile Court on charges of tampering with a motor vehicle, theft, and possession of fireworks, alcohol and tobacco. After blowing a .11 percent BAC, the 17-year-old was also charged with underage consumption. He was released to his mother.

Unwelcome
Management of a pub in the 1600 block of Larpenteur Avenue called police Oct. 8 about a pair of "drunk parties" attempting to get back into the bar after closing. The two were told they were no longer welcome at the pub, even when it’s open, and given a ride home.

Little Canada

Drama at RAMS
An Arden Hills girl, who’s, well, who’s 13, confronted another student in the lunchroom at Roseville Area Middle School the afternoon of Oct. 13 and unpleasantness occurred. The student was removed to the principal’s office where she continued the disruptive behavior, threatening to stab the woman with a pencil. "We actually ask for these assignments," a middle school administrator once told this writer. In this case, the teen was suspended from school for several days to cool off and petitioned into Ramsey County Juvenile Court on an assault charge.

Roseville

Purse stuff
A prowler, perhaps intrigued by the glimpse of a purse strap under the passenger seat of a vehicle parked at the McCarron’s Lake picnic grounds Sept. 26, broke the rear passenger window to snatch the prize. The victim, an 18-year-old female from Lauderdale, said she was unsure of the contents of the purse. No suspects.
