Arrest
She made an illegal turn July 25 at Snelling and Como avenues, but any turn she made would have been illegal because the 38-year-old was driving with a suspended license.

Belligerence
The 52-year-old man with a suspended driver’s license was arrested July 21 at Snelling and Dan Patch avenues. He wasn’t driving this time, but was arrested on a warrant for not appearing in court regarding a previous driving offense. The driver, a 49-year-old woman, refused to submit to commands during the traffic stop. She was booked at the jail for obstructing the legal process.

Take a hike
Police told the 21-year-old man he didn’t have to wait around; it would take a while to complete the paperwork on his citations for driving after license revocation, no proof of insurance (actually no insurance at all) and possession of a small amount of marijuana, following the July 25 traffic stop at Larpenteur and Cleveland avenues. His vehicle was impounded.

I may be slow, but I’m ahead of you
A 71-year-old woman whose wallet was stolen at a real estate office July 25 in the 1600 block of Larpenteur Avenue beat the prowler to the punch. She lost $100 in cash but canceled her credit cards before they could be used.

Party central
Deputies visited a backyard social function in the pre-dawn hours of Aug. 3 in the 3000 block of Ontario Road, having no problem finding the whoop-de-do in the dark, due to the noisy profanities coming from several of the half-dozen addled attendees. Deputies, who had been to the location fewer than 24 hours earlier, issued citations for disorderly conduct and “permitting a disorderly house,” to the 23-year-old male tenant. It was the third complaint concerning the address in less than a month.

Slumper
Deputies observed a syringe-equipped slumper in a vehicle in a fast-food parking lot with the engine running in the 2200 block of Rice Street around 2 a.m. Aug. 1. The syringe, found on the front seat, contained a brown fluid. The 38-year-old Minneapolis man was jailed on a pending charge of felony possession of a controlled substance. Heroin is suspected.

Wanted: more time with the baby
A dad, upset with his wife because his mother-in-law was getting more time with the six-week-old baby than he was, threatened and punched the 34-year-old mom at their apartment July 30. The 40-year-old man was booked†at the jail on a pending felony charge of domestic assault, due to his criminal record.
