RAHS senior competes in state golf tournament

Roseville Area High School senior Sean Landkamer completed his prep sports career last week by playing in the state golf tournament for the second time.

Landkamer shot a pair of 85s in the two-day Class AAA tournament held at Bunker Hills Golf Course in Coon Rapids. His total score of 170 landed him in 83rd place.

In two state appearances, Landkamer shot 85 in three of the four rounds.

Rochester Century senior Chris Captain captured the Class AAA individual championship with a two-day score of 142 (71-71). He finished three shots ahead of a trio that ended up tied for second.

In the team standings, Edina claimed the crown with a one-stroke victory over Wayzata. Hastings was third and finished 27 strokes behind Edina.

Back in 2012, Landkamer was a sophomore and made the state tournament when Roseville won the Section 4AAA title. That year, he shot 84 and 85 for a state-tournament score of 169. He finished in a three-way tie for 80th.
