RAHS girls tumble in lacrosse section semifinals

Following its convincing quarterfinal victory, the Roseville Area High School girls lacrosse team faced a tall order in the semifinals. Awaiting the Raiders was top-seeded and ninth-ranked Robbinsdale Armstrong.

Roseville held the normally high-scoring Falcons to their second-lowest goal total of the season but couldn't come with enough offense of its own. Armstrong prevailed for a 7-3 victory.

Only fourth-ranked Benilde-St. Margaret's held the Falcons to a lower offensive output this season. The Red Knights beat Armstrong 9-6 during the regular season.

Armstrong followed up its victory over Roseville with a 10-5 win over second-seeded Irondale in the section final to advance to its second consecutive state tournament.
