No election primaries this year in Roseville, Ramsey County
Filing for city council, county commission and the state House of Representatives closed June 3.
Both the city of Roseville and Ramsey County normally hold primary elections in August if the number of candidates that file exceeds two per race. However, because no more than two candidates filed for each vacancy, their names will not appear on primary election ballots this year.
Candidates for federal and state offices are still subject to the primary election, which will take place Aug. 12.
The following candidates have filed for local offices:
Mayor: Dan Roe (incumbent)
Council: Tammy McGehee (incumbent)
Bob Willmus (incumbent)
Ramsey County, District 3
Janice Rettman (incumbent)
State House of Representatives
Jason “Ike” Isaacson (incumbent)
Alice Hausman (incumbent)
Filing for city offices in municipalities that do not hold primaries, like Lauderdale and Little Canada, which both have mayor and two council seat vacancies, will be open July 29 to Aug. 12.
The general election will take place Nov. 4.
