Parkview students place high in statewide math competition

Parkview Center School students recently competed against more than 1,495 7th and 8th graders at the 47th Annual Math Contest hosted by St. Cloud State University. The students all worked against the clock to solve 36 math problems in 45 minutes.

Steven Boerigter and Eliza Reedy placed in the top five percent of 7th graders, taking 10th and 21st places in the individual competition.

Andrew Seong, Easton Chambers-Ozasky, Jesse Arneberg, Nathan Haugen and Ming Yu Chan all placed in the top five percent of 8th graders in the individual competition. They took 5th, 16th, and 29th (three-way tie) place.

The Parkview 8th grade team took third place, beating out teams from 39 other schools in the competition.
