Falcon Heights

Two vehicles were pulled over Feb. 15 at Snelling and Larpenteur avenues and their drivers, males ages 25 and 27, were arrested for failure to display both front and rear license plates.

Flick your Bics
Police aren’t sure if they are looking for a nicotine addict or a firebug, but they know they are looking for a thief. A suspect grabbed a box of 50 cigarette lighters for sale at just under $2 each off the counter at a convenience store
Feb. 13 in the 1300 block of Larpenteur Avenue and fled the scene.

Drug trafficer
A 27-year-old woman was booked at the Ramsey County Jail for felony possession of methamphetamine and misdemeanor possession of pot and drug paraphernalia after she was stopped Feb. 15 at Larpenteur Avenue and Hwy. 280 for a traffic offense.

Equipment violation
The driver was pulled over at Hwy. 280 and Broadway Street N.E. Feb. 10 for a cracked windshield, an indicator that the driver was uninsured since cracked windshields are usually covered by an auto policy. The 50-year-old woman
was cited for driving after license revocation, the equipment violation and driving without insurance.

Little Canada

A teen came around a corner at Capitol View ALC Jan. 15 and met up with a teacher. The youth shoved the woman, causing the 45-year-old to fall backwards injuring her back and wrist. After an investigation, the Fridley boy was
charged with fourth-degree gross-misdemeanor assault on a teacher, pending approval of the county attorney’s office. The woman was taken to a medical facility for treatment.

Rough rider
A desperate thief is out there trying his luck on our icy, rutted roads after stealing a $400 silver 21-speed GMC Denali bicycle Feb. 15. The bike was left unlocked in an apartment garage in the 100 block of County Road B2 by the 25- year-old owner who no doubt was thinking “who would ride a bike in these teeth-rattling conditions?”

Ten Minnesota Wild tickets and $500 in cash went missing from offices at a union hall for painters and allied trades in the 3200 block of Country Drive. The theft occurred sometime between December 1 of last year and February 20. The tickets were in an unlocked office and the cash, for some reason, was on top of a desk, according to the police report.
