Letter: West St. Paul’s busy roads need sidewalks

To the editor:

While driving in West St. Paul, within one-half hour I saw four people waking in the streets because there were no sidewalks on either side of the busy roads. Two of the pedestrians were using a cane.

One person was walking on Thompson between Robert and Oakdale, and another one was on Oakdale near Marie. And I saw two people walking on Marie between Robert and Oakdale.

I do not know if these are county or city streets, but this looks unsafe to me and it happens all year ‘round. Concerning pedestrian accessibility and safety, it left me wondering to whom should citizen complaints be directed?
