Wildwood Library closed due to burst pipe

The Wildwood Branch of the Washington County Library in Mahtomedi will be closed until at least Feb. 1 as repairs are made after a water pipe burst in the library’s ceiling. There is no set time for the building’s reopening, but it probably will not be before Feb. 1.

The library’s books, shelving and other materials have been moved into a conference room, and water was removed from carpeting in the building. The building’s carpet will be replaced, along with the cabling for computer connectivity.

Any library customers who would usually pick up holds from the Wildwood Branch may now pick them up at the Oakdale Branch, 1010 Heron Ave. N. If that is not convenient, customers may call the Oakdale and make arrangements to pick up items at another library. The telephone number at the Oakdale Branch is 651-730-0504.

Library material returns can be made to any Washington County Library branch, or libraries in Stillwater and Bayport.
