The second medallion was found by the Lohmanns.

This year, two lucky pairs of searchers found separately hidden medallions as part of the Lake Elmo Jaycees’ 37th annual Huff n’ Puff Days softball tournament.

Adventurous medallion hunters were given a series of clues from Aug. 4-11 to help them find the hidden treasure — a decorated Huff n’ Puff Days button — somewhere on Lake Elmo public property.

Mandy and Anne Wier found the first medallion in no time on the third day of the search on Tuesday, Aug. 6, and claimed the $100 prize. The medallion was taped to the back of the Lake Elmo Nature Trail sign at Reid Park, located at 11430 30th St. N.

Because the medallion was found so quickly, Huff n’ Puff organizers decided to hide another medallion with a $50 prize at Demontreville Park under the dock at the public boat launch in the northwestern corner of the city.

Megan and Shawn Lohmann found the second medallion in the early afternoon on the hunt’s last day, Sunday, Aug. 11.
