Oakdale bank robber flees on foot
A robbery was reported at Western Bank in Oakdale on Monday afternoon, April 8.
According to the Oakdale Police Department, officers were called to the bank on the 1100 block of Hadley Avenue at 11:10 a.m. after a man went inside and presented a note demanding cash. The man reportedly did not brandish a weapon and fled on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash.
No one was injured during the robbery and a press release from the Oakdale Police Department states, "there is no known additional threat to public safety."
Police described the robber as a "dark skinned black adult male, 5'9" to 5'10", thin to average build weighing approximately 150-170 pounds." He was reportedly wearing a teal-colored baseball cap, gray hooded sweatshirt and plaid scarf.
