Mobley, Smith-Pugh named ‘All-Tournament’

Johnson senior forward Quashingm Smith-Pugh (5), with 20 points and 15 rebounds, defends against Delano. The Governors lost in the semifinals to #1 ranked DeLaSalle March 21.

Jalen Mobley and Quashingm Smith-Pugh of  Johnson High School have been named to the Class AAA Boys’ Basketball All-Tournament Team.

The honor, given by Wells Fargo, recognizes student athletes who demonstrate exceptional sportsmanship, team commitment, athletic ability and leadership during the state high school tournaments. Media personnel make the selections. In boys basketball, 10 awards are given for this class of competition; the two Governors join players from Austin, DeLaSalle and Marshall on the list. Smith-Pugh was also selected in 2012.
