Residents can look over environmental study

The public is invited to comment on the environmental assessment worksheet for 3M Company’s proposed Research and Development Building.

3M Company is proposing to build a new research and development building on its Maplewood campus.

The building will be located on a vacant site at the northeast corner of McKnight Road and Conway Avenue. The project will include 400,000 square feet of lab and research space and 725 parking spaces.

The EAW is the State-required document designed to evaluate the potential environmental effects of a proposed project and provide information to the public and reviewing agencies.

Copies of the EAW will be available at:
• the City of Maplewood, 1830 County Road B E., Maplewood
• St. Paul District Council 1 offices in the SunRay Shopping Center at 2105 1/2 Old Hudson Road in St. Paul. The District 1 winter/spring office hours are as follows: Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday 9:30 a.m. to 8 p.m.; Wednesday from 9 a.m. until 8 p.m.; and Friday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Please try calling (651) 578-7600 before stopping by as some hours are filled by Century College interns.
• Maplewood Library 3025 Southlawn Drive, Maplewood during regular business hours through April 3.
