Employers added jobs in December

Minnesota employers added 9,500 jobs in December, according to figures released this week by the Minnesota Department of Employment and Economic Development.
The December job gains, combined with November figures that were revised upward by 1,700 jobs, bring total job growth in Minnesota to 45,900 in the past year, a growth rate of 1.7 percent compared with a national rate of 1.6 percent during that period.

Larkin Dance Studio continues 64-year legacy at new Maplewood location

A fixture in Maplewood, Larkin Dance Studio now has more room to stretch out.
The family-run business, which for decades has pumped out award-winning dancers who’ve made it to national television, Broadway and films, this month relocated to the building that formerly housed Minnesota Granite and Marble at 1400 E. Highway 36.
