A loud muffler will get you stopped and a suspended license and no insurance not to mention the equipment violation will get you arrested. It happened to a 19-year-old man Feb. 7 at Larpenteur Avenue and Fry Street.
Maplewood police responded to the area of McKnight Road and Ripley Avenue following the report of a person requiring medical attention at 4:32 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 23. When officers arrived at the scene, they found the victim, North St. Paul resident Anna Hurd, 16, deceased at Hillside Park.

Police chiefs attending were Chiefs Michael Aschenbrener of Mendota Heights, William Messerich of South St. Paul, Bud Shaver of West St. Paul and Larry Stanger of Inver Grove Heights.
