With half of its lineup from last year's section tournament returning, the Mounds View High School wrestling team has the potential to be a contender this season. Head coach Dan Engebretson expects that it might take some time to for the newcomers to emerge but there's a chance.
The Woodbury Chorus and Orchestra, under the direction of Associate Director Andrew Peterson, will present "How Can I Keep From Singing, Songs of the American Spirit" at 4 p.m. Dec. 2 at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church, 1390 Larpenteur Ave. E., St. Paul.
Normally, Irondale High School boys basketball coach Jon DeMars has a pretty good grasp on who his top half dozen players will be after the first week of practice. That question hasn't quite fleshed itself out this season, however.
The Mounds View High School gymnastics teams put together its best season under head coach Julie Coopet, who is entering her 11th year as the Mustangs' head coach. With five returning letterwinners, including three state qualifiers, Mounds View is looking at another strong campaign.
Over the course of last season, the St. Anthony Village High School gymnastics team saw its team score improve by 18 points. Head coach Kelsey Engstrom hopes to see continued improvement again this season.
