As the 2012 legislative session came to a close the Senate, House and governor worked to find common ground on several issues. I would like to point out two bills that received overwhelming bipartisan support.
After a letter to the editor, "Don't isolate autistic," was printed last week, State Rep. Kathy Lohmer called the Review to clarify that the bill referenced, HF 2252, made it into the Health and Human Services Omnibus bill that was signed into law.
With high school graduation rapidly approaching, parents need to be reminded that it is a crime to provide minors with alcohol or a place to drink alcohol. Though some teens drink without experiencing any lasting consequences, the activity is extremely risky.
The St. Paul Public Library will be offering a "Read Down" for kids, teens, and families May 15 through June 15. Kids, teens, and adults reading with kids will be able to read fines and fees off of their library cards.
