Woman arrested for prescription drug DWI: Police reports Jan. 25, 2012

No snow needed:
A snow blower valued at $800 was stolen from an Oakdale homeowner’s locked garage in the 3700 block of Hamlet Avenue North on Jan. 6. No one was at the home at the time of the theft, according to police reports.

Big win returns Mustangs to first place

When the Mounds View High School girls basketball team opened 2012 with an overtime loss to Roseville, the Mustangs fell out of first place in the Suburban East Conference. Two weeks after falling to the Raiders, Mounds View jumped back into first place by beating Park-Cottage Grove.

Of its 15 games so far this season, the Mounds View High School boys hockey team has played only six on home ice. That discrepancy is worth noting because the Mustangs have proven to be a tough beat at Shoreview Arena.
