Help plan North High graduation party

There will be a planning meeting on Aug. 11 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the North St. Paul Community Center, Polar Room, for parents of North High Seniors. This will be a first-stage planning meeting for the all-night-senior party for the 2010 graduating class.

Schools in the North St. Paul-Maplewood-Oakdale School District will hold back-to-school events in August and September. The following is a list of planned events:

Education foundation hosts 5K run

Take a run, or walk, in support of education this August. The District 622 Education Foundation is organizing a 5K Fun Run on Aug. 15 to help fund grants and scholarships for students in the area.

Tartan athletics moves into a new era of sports coverage

It's a whole new world and Tartan Activities Director Lee Alger has every intention of making Tartan High School set the pace. 

This fall, the Tartan football games and volleyball games will be webcast over the Internet for fans to tune in from their computer.
