To the editor:I'm really disappointed with the City Council's decision to scale back the 2007 History Cruze Car Show. It's a regional tradition, exhibiting 1,500 to 2,000 cars each week.

The seniors at the Gladstone Senior Center would like to offer a special "thanks" to the eighth-graders at Maplewood Middle School for putting on a Bingo party at the Gladstone Senior Cneter on Friday, May 18.
At a recent Community Education committee meeting, two members of the community were recognized for their volunteer contributions. They were also recognized at the School Board meeting May 22.
On March 29, the Maplewood-based St. Paul Ski Club ventured a couple of miles south to Newport and Tinucci's Restaurant for some year-end festivities. During the past season, some seven junior ski jumping tournaments were held at the club's Nordic area in south Maplewood.
In the opening round of Section 4AAA softball action, the No. 12-seeded Andover Huskies ventured to Hill-Murray to take on the No. 5-seeded Pioneers. Hill-Murray put the game winning runs on the board in the bottom of the first inning and went on to post a 10-1 victory.
In a season in which the Hill-Murray baseball nine has had to "manufacture" runs to win ball games, they revved up their hitting machine May 18 when they hosted the Richfield Spartans.
