In an industry driven by new technology, Premier Bank keeps people front and center. From their humble beginnings, in a doublewide trailer, to the now 20 Minnesota branch offices, Premier’s sophisticated products serve clients locally and around the world.

Premier bankers are committed to client relationships and experienced local decision-making. These partnerships have driven steady growth for over 40 years. Premier’s knowledgeable lenders and bankers listen first. They know their clients well and are able to offer them the best mix of Premier products and services for their unique needs.

Expanded services and branch network

A new mobile friendly website and mobile banking app offer improved access. Premier clients can now make deposits, pay bills, check balances and transfer funds from anywhere.

Over 4000 users from students to snowbirds benefit from Premier Mobile Banking. Usage continues to climb an average of 6% month to month. Industry experts predict that by 2020, 81% of all customers will be accessing their bank through a mobile channel. Premier employees are happy to provide hands on training to ensure clients can easily access this new technology.

Cash Management Services and Remote Deposit are also on the rise, allowing business owners the convenience of banking without leaving their desk.  The Premier Cash Management Group enjoys teaching clients ways to manage their banking more efficiently and in turn, allowing them more time to grow their business and do what they love.

Client security is a top priority for Premier bankers. In 2016, Premier is implementing chip technology for their business, consumer, and health savings account debit cards. Chip cards use unique data for each transaction so card numbers are protected from fraudsters at chip-enabled card readers.  Premier bankers understand that customers work hard for their money and Premier works hard to keep it safe.

Premier Bank expanded, in December of 2015, with a new branch in Andover, run by Andover native, Mike Schmalzer.  A Facebook campaign brought in 1200 community residents to learn about Premier and to see Santa, Mrs. Claus and their reindeer. Premier looks forward to growing together with Andover and all of their communities, as they have since the first bank opened in Maplewood in 1974.

Local family bank rooted in community

Premier Bank understands the unique needs of small and family business from personal experience. Vice Chair and family member, Sean Regan, is a president and commercial lender working out of the Roseville office. Based on asset size, Premier is one of the top ten family banks in the state. The family of Premier Banks has learned from the past, and clients benefit from their experience, deep local ties, and dynamic vision of the future.

Over the past 26 years Premier Bank Roseville has had a strong presence in the community. 2015 was no exception as the Roseville staff collected food, clothing and toys for families in need and collaborated with customers and employees to compile a Premier Cookbook raising over $2,000 for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. This year, Premier’s bank-wide Costume for a Cure event raised $12,335, a new record. To date, total contributions exceed $100,000, funding research and programs for local patients and families struggling with blood cancer.

Premier Bank gives back to a wide range of community initiatives in education, health, culture, faith, athletics and veteran programs; as well as offering significant support to the most vulnerable in our communities, through the New Dorothy Day Center in St. Paul. Premier bankers put clients and community first. Stop by Premier to learn why they’re your Premier Community Bank.
